I would add that there now are SO MANY people raised in complete luxury that they have never had a serious worry about learning a trade or supporting themselves or their families.
They are set forever. Their progeny is set forever.
So they have nothing to do in their lives. Nothing to accomplish.
Boomers in the 60s learned Maslow's Triangular hierarchy of meeting needs: food, shelter, water at the bottom, and more rarefied and luxurious at the top.
At the very top is 'Self Actualization' where people have all their needs met.
Trouble is, BAD things happen when one's every need is met. Such a person becomes a tyrant in the extreme: Lazy, irrational, irresponsible, vain, decadent, etc.
Problem with the world now is we have too many people like that. Way more than a percent or two. The wealth is hidden. And they are causing a lot of trouble.
I hadn’t looked at it like that before. It’s true. These people truly are just parasites even if they do nothing at all but of course they want to be relevant in some way that makes them look good at dinner parties. Makes them look good to their parasite peers.
They chose poorly.
