NCIS veteran David McCallum, also known for his Emmy-nominated role in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., died peacefully this morning of natural causes at New York Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by family. He was 90, having celebrated his birthday less than a week ago.
A fan favorite, McCallum was the last remaining original cast member on CBS’ NCIS, in which he played Chief Medical Examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard, an eccentric but highly efficient investigator with a knack for psychological profiling, for two decades.

Met him while he was playing Illya Kuryakin. I think I might have been 7 years old. He seemed very nice.

How did they make that a joke? I don’t remember that at all.
McCallum was excellent in “The Great Escape.”
I watched some episodes of NCIS on Prime (?) streaming and was really surprised to see he was still alive. He had a good run. RIP.

Aww maaaan, this just sucks. He was my favorite actor on NCIS. Didn’t know his politics so he must’ve been doing something right. Will be sorely missed. And if you DO know his politics, please DO NOT TELL ME, good or bad I don’t want to know.
I just saw his pic on Twitter few days ago for his birthday and said Happy birthday, wow.
RIP guy. My sister had the biggest crush on him when he played Illya Kuryakin in the Man from Uncle.
Ahhh, I had a such a crush on him as an 11 year old. He actually aged rather handsomely.
That was one of the funniest lines from the show
To me he’s Illya.
