Robert F Kennedy Jr, who launched his campaign for the Democrat presidential nomination in April, reportedly has plans to announce a run as an independent candidate.
According to Mediaite, Kennedy plans to make the announcement on October 9 in Philadelphia, with a text message viewed by the outlet stating that his campaign is planning "attack ads" against the Democrat National Committee to "pave the way" for his announcement.
"Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go," a Kennedy campaign insider told the outlet.

Though I could not disagree with him politically any more, this: may the Lord bless and keep him from all harm.
And my he shave off even 5% of the rat vote
He’s awfully naive or slow if he didn’t anticipate what the DNC would do to him.
This is great news. He’s the Ross Perot for Ds. I heard he has the Libertarian line locked up if he wants it.
If someone as entrenched in the Democrat party as he is can walk away, maybe Trump can walk away from the Rs. Both of these parties deserve to go away.
I would vote for him over Niki, Tim, Chris, or Mike.
This is what they have been terrified of, a strong 3rd party candidate. See ya later Joe, all the cheating can’t fix this.
The main problem with RFK is that he is a global warming true believer.
I am a little concerned that th Libertarian arm of the D’s might have held their nose and voted Trump, but now can go to Kennedy. On the other hand, some RINOs who hate Trump might have voted for Biden and now could vote for Kennedy. I guess it comes down to how many people were in each of those groups.
Trump would be the primary beneficiary of an RFK independent run. If Trump is not our candidate, RFK could pull as many votes from the right as the left. Maybe more.
RFK as an Independent will hurt Trump at least as bad as RFK hurts the Democrats.
(stating that his campaign is planning “attack ads” against the Democrat National Committee to “pave the way” for his announcement.)
Stay off Houston and Elm, RFK, Jr.
The Democrats will try to take you out.
Maybe this is why Biden denied him Secret Service
This will definitely mix it up. I think this hurts both Republicans and Democrats, especially if the two candidates are Biden and Trump.
Until proven otherwise, enemy of my enemy is my friend
Good take. I fall on the side of a massive victory. When a Kennedy leaves the D plantation, it’s time for a cigar.
He’d win in a heartbeat if the Dems nominated him, and I am a Trump supporter telling you that.
The Dems however will never nominate him
RFK JR is likely to siphon as many votes from Trump, if not more, than from Biden.
Democrats don’t really like the guy.
Hillary sends her condolences.
“See ya later Joe”
Wonder if he’s doing this to decrease the chances of Biden winning. If Biden becines a non-candidate he could ask to rejoin the party. That’s plausible if polling shows that he’s the only “liberal” with a chance against Trump.
I don’t agree with a lot of his agenda but he’s a ton better than the communistic/SorozNazi puppets we’re stuck with now
certainly the D party voters deserve far, far, far better than they’ve had to suffer with since 2008
