The US is urging Serbia to withdraw what it says is a large military build-up on the country’s border with Kosovo.
In the past months, tensions have been rising between Kosovo’s minority ethnic Serb and majority Albanian communities.
Speaking on Friday, White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby described the “large military deployment” of sophisticated tanks and artillery as “a very destabilising development”.
“It’s worrisome. It doesn’t look like just a bunch of guys who got together to do this,” Mr Kirby said.
“We are calling on Serbia to withdraw those forces from the border.”
Whichever side Biden supports I am against.

You are right, but the border and national debt don’t launder any millions back to the pockets of corrupt politicians and the “Big Guy”.
The USA has been trying to escalate and expand this conflict since the beginning.
Blinken visited Kosovo in June, and immediately the Kosovo Regime started negative actions against the Serb cities.
Now Serbia itself reacts, and this is reported like it was completely out of the blue and nothing happened prior (just like the Russian operation against Ukraine).
Kosovo declared independence in 2008 but Serbia - along with Belgrade’s key allies China and Russia - does not recognise it.
Even if that's true, we shouldn't have anything to do with the Balkans, other than to say that we are encouraging peace.
When they say “tensions”, it means Serbian kids getting killed as they walk home from school by bearded moslem men who are then paraded around town as heroes as they cash NATO checks. That kind of “tensions”.

Historically, yes. And historical boundaries should matter. No, they must matter! But the Kosovo demographics say otherwise.
And that’s the interesting thing about the US, the UN, and the EU. Those worthies are all for self-determination. Let the people decide!
But they never apply that grand idea to their own countries. The South tries to secede from the Union. General Sherman burns everything in sight.
Ireland tries to secede from the UK. Well, okay. Let Ireland be Irish. But the UK decides to keep almost 20% of the island anyway.

Whichever side FJB supports will surely be the WRONG side! There has been bad blood between the Serbs and their neighbors for centuries. During World War II the Nazis, with the help of their lackeys the Albanians and Croats, slaughtered Serbs wholesale. After the breakup of Yugoslavia the Serbs finally had an opportunity for payback. Of course the US was on the side of the Croats. No doubt FJB will put us on the wrong side again. Whatever happens there, I’ll back the Serbs.
