If Blinken encouraged Kosovo to do to the Serbian enclaves what the Ukrainians did to the Russian enclaves, you must wonder why the State Department wants to encourage Serbian retaliation. Then we have the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict reigniting. Is that war another attempt to hit the fringes of the former Soviet/Tsarist Empire? Perhaps the possible attack by the Serbians is being encouraged by Russia in order to counter the situation in western Asia, which may have been provoked by the West. We have the recent coups in Niger in West Africa and Gabon in Central Africa, in both cases taking out a French aligned civilian government and in the Niger case, supported by the Russian mercenary organization, the Wagner Group.

All these events are connected in a worldwide struggle between the Western nations and the Chinese-Russian-Iranian axis.

I merely pointed out that 117 of 193 UN members have recognized Kosovo as an independent nation. I said nothing about its being a member of the UN. I am unaware of any UNSC vote of recognition, probably because everyone knew Russia would veto it.

At present, although Kosovo is not an official member of the UN, it is a member or an applicant in scores of international organizations as an independent nation, as the Republic of Kosovo.

Maybe. I don’t think Russia wants to expand the conflict.

All the efforts to spread it are from the West, from the proposed blockade of Kaliningrad, Kosovo, the attempted Dugin hit, the pipeline, the dam, nuclear plant shelling, Georgia attempted Color Revolution... they are doing everything they can to expand the war and possibly bring in NATO.

If the attempted Dugin hit and the successful Prigozhin hit were done by Western intelligence, Russia has a serious internal security problem.

Paul Craig Roberts, a former Reagan Administration official, has been critical of Putin's "special military operation", a euphemism for a limited war, which was unsuccessful for our country in Korea and Vietnam. On the other, military observers like Douglas MacGregor believe the Russians are methodically grinding the Ukrainian military down. If MacGregor is correct, the West may be firing up Armenian and Serbian conflicts to divert the Russians.

The Hungarians also took a bit of territory. The Germans installed puppet regimes in Zagreb (controlling Bosnia and the remainder of Croatia) and in Belgrade (controlling Serbia). The Ustashi regime in Zagreb was guilty of genocide, chiefly against the Serbs, but they had little popular support. Many Croats joined the Partisans and died fighting the Germans and Italians.
