The Fed Reserve was begun in 1913, under the presidency of that horror Woodrow Wilson.
King George V was the King, at that time, and thus the titular ruler of the British Empire. Though he had a wee bit more power back then, it wasn't much and today's Royals have about NO "power" at all!
