I agree, but with a minor change.
AR-15, with plenty of magazines.
12 gauge shotgun with a good variety of ammunition.
Handgun (I like my 9mm) with 15 round magazine, and plenty of extras.
And most importantly, lots and lots of ammunition for each!
Only one well trained person in 500,000 can shoot at that range. I’m a very good shooter and 500-600 is my max. It’s not practical for 99% of people.
Maybe there should be a revolver in the mix, not so much for yourself but so you can hand it to a family member or friend and they’ll know how to “work it” if need be.
You mean a Phalanx?
And you might want a quad 50, too.
12 g Remington pump or keltec 12g 14 shot
223 semi auto pick your platform.
9mm semiauto handgun double stack
Optional for concealed carry
9mm or 380 single stack that is very light.
This thread goes right to the FBI, you fools.
BUT, they already have that info, so here goes…
And this is what I have. We all know that we all should have F15s and nukes…
9mm pistol. 9mm ammo will become coin of the realm. My EDC is a Taurus G3c. My home defence is a P320 with a red dot.
22LR rifle. Mine is a pimped out 1022. Good for varmints. Easy to store lots of ammo.
AR-15, of course. Unfortunately I don’t have one. I have a Ruger PCC (9mm). I’m old, and I don’t see myself crawling around the hedgerows for survival. Some day I’ll get an inexpensive AR. Maybe.
That why I like revolvers. Reliable as hell. And a 357 has awesome stopping power. You can load a revolver and put in your nightstand and leave it for 20 years - but if you need it in a pinch it will still go bang.
Right now you can get an awesome AR-15 for under 500. That won’t last. Buy now.
M1 Benelli or Wilson Combat 870 shotgun
AR15 pattern rifle (with suppressor).
Then spend good money on chest plate and nods with thermal clip on.
If I could have four (4) Suppressed .22 LR pistol to take out vermin in my AO in that terrible phase before open warfare: "the settling of scores".
That was my choice. Short barrel shotgun, AR-15 and full size frame 9mm.
You can also make a great case for a bolt or lever action .22 rifle
Guys, just because I love revolvers doesn’t mean I don’t recommend a good 9mm semi. They are awesome. Just make sure to clean it twice a year. Gun oil collects dust. That can cause a stovepipe jam. Unfortunately most people never clean their guns. With revolvers that’s not an issue.
No. I have others to cover the intermediate ranges and specialty targets. I’ve got just about everything covered.
Those 155 howitzers are noisy. An antiaircraft laser like Israel was using. against. rockets would be a good quiet start. A radar aimed gun off a battleship would help.
Same.
Except my handgun is either a Glock or my SW M&P R8 (357 M)
Exactly...almost. Mossberg 500. 1911. AR 15... Here in Alaska make that an AR 10. BTW, My semi-auto rifle is an M-1 Garand but I agree that an AR would be a better choice.
Currently, I have old Rugar (22lr) & Walther (9mm) pistols, Benelli Super Eagle II shotgun, but no rifle. I’m an intermediate, at best, with gun knowledge, but want an AR-15. However, I hear that they jam up more frequently on 22lr. What calibre might be best per accessibility to ammo and performance??
For my applications I reload my brass. Except for 9mm, I got a great deal on a good supply.
I have a pair of Taurus public defenders for that purpose.
One is loaded with 000 buck in .410 and the other is loaded with #6 shot in .410.
I built my own AR-15 . After 5,000 rounds I have never had a jam.
