The College Football Playoff is not going to feature either Clemson or USC.

The Tigers dropped their third game of 2023 in a 28-20 overtime loss to Miami while No. 18 USC lost 34-32 at home to No. 14 Utah as the Utes hit a field goal with no time remaining for the win.

Penn State is what it has always been, a 10 - 2 team. Utah matched its season high score of 34 against USC. When someone asks Coach Riley "Who's your daddy?" he answers Kyle Willingham. ACC is back to only a one team contender conference with UNC laying an egg against UVa; it is Florida State wins out or bust. Did anyone watch Iowa v. Minnesota as an exercise in self-flagellation? There was an infamous gambler called the Duffel Bag Boy who went around different sports books with a cash stuffed into a duffle bag who made a killing betting against Rutgers. Is he still around because Rutgers has now won six games for the first time since 2014.

Mine was recording and watching "that state up north" vs. "that state up north" State in hopes that the lesser of two evils won. After it was 21-0 I just fast forwarded through the rest to see if anything changed. It didn't.

There was an infamous gambler called the Duffel Bag Boy who went around different sports books with a cash stuffed into a duffle bag who made a killing betting against Rutgers.

I had a friend who made a lot betting against Notre Dame every week. This was before everyone had computers to analyze teams and take advantage of bad betting. He figured that rabid Notre Dame fans betting with their hearts shifted the line by three points from where it should be so he always bet against them to take advantage of that.

Followed a cupcake, pencil-neck overrated coach out west to throw the ball like a youknowwhat... Problem is they have a gimmick defense, also strength and conditioning is stuff like kettle bells and pilates. Total quackery.

One actually hopes that Caleb can redeem himself of the situation in time and grow out of hsit like shopping like a girl and getting his nails done. Word around the B12 is "Rush three and drop eight", looks like at least Utah has that figured out too.

The person that one has no sympathy for is Old Man Williams, pushing his son to go Total Hollywood Opportunistic... meanwhile his former team that wasn't good enough for him is 7-0... Restraining oneself from the obvious Marv Marinovich reference... Not gonna say nothing about Old Man Williams giving Marv a run for his money, at least in the irony department, no matter how obvious it might be...

UNLV may be AF’s toughest game. They are 6-1, with the only loss being a respectable 35-7 loss to Michigan.

Speaking of Rutgers, way back in my Drum Corps days we did a show at the Rutgers stadium. "Stadium" is a generous word, it was basically bleachers built into a hillside with a field at the bottom.

I think they've built an actual stadium since then, this was in the mid 80s.

We actually went up to go see Florida play Rutgers at Giants Stadium in the 80s, and the crowd was at least 75% Gator fans.

But after the game, some Rutgers fans tried to attack our bus as we were leaving.
