While I lean very strongly to a pre-trib rapture time frame, to me the thing that would be coolest by far, would be to be one of those fortunate ones who gets to experience that being changed in the twinkling of an eye and called up without dying.

I am also Pre-Trib. I think the seven years of plenty in Joseph’s time have a prophetic fulfillment.. that could give 14 years instead of 7 years to fit all the events of Revelation. Notice that chapter 12 has a 1260 day period and time, times and a half time. Chapter 13 has a 42 month period. The correct interpretation will be a perfect fit.
I belive the “Day or the hour” words in the Bible denote a time or the timing of the end times in general.
Daniel 12:9
[9] He said, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
[10] Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. (ESV)
I’ve wondered if 1967 is a better date, since that is when Israel regained Jerusalem.

It’s certainly a valid possibility but there are others as well.... that and the fact that there are several potential definitions of what a ‘generation’ might be all are part of why the ‘day and the hour’ can’t and won’t be known. Regardless, in the grand scheme of things, if Scripture provided enough hints as to what the window looks like and even if it was as big as 100 years, that is still actually quite tight when placed against the backdrop of thousands of years of history.
No kidding. However, I suspect magic mushrooms may have had something to do with it.
