Newton was a scientific genius. He also liked to dabble in prophecies and in hidden bible interpretations, with much less success.
Being an expert in one field doesn’t automatically make you an expert in others. Perhaps Newton should have stuck to physics, and left babbling about the future to Nostradamus.
I agree with him:
“It may end later, but I see no reason for its ending sooner.”
Newton wrote more on Bible topics such as prophecy than he did about math and science.
