Kinda like johnny cash doing 'hurt'

this is what makes bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden so great, they are actually classically trained and super talented musicians.

I watched the other day ...never realized what a good song it was. I got off the maiden train around powerslave so I missed it.

Good one. Two Minutes to Midnight is my top choice.

I thought somewhere in time, and 7th son albums were also really good, but those are the last ones I have.

the artwork on the Somewhere in Time album cover was great.

Weird, I just watched this today as well. Great acoustic version of the song.

I got off the maiden train the album or 2 after Powerslave and this was one of the last songs I remember before the band had Jannick Gerz in place of Adrian Smith.

Superb; have to admit I’m partial to The Prisoner and Back in the Village for ‘a number’ of reasons. Questions are a burden, and answers a prison for 1self...

Yeah they are good albums I agree. I guess I momentarily got too old for them at 22. The first 2 are still my favoritem.

i am quite fond of the songs dance of the dead and paschendale.

there are decent, or even very good, songs on the following 2 records but the sharp edge/originality seemed dulled.

no matter how good their first 5 records were (really good), I remain convinced Derek Riggs was a key part of their getting traction early on.

obligatory mention - I only bought balls to picasso once bruce left, and wrote off his solo work and paid no more attention to it in the 90’s.. very big misjudgment, 20 yrs later I discover Chemical Wedding and Accident of Birth. IMO the best heavy metal LP’s by a ‘big name’ no one has ever heard of.

Very nice. Fan of IM for, well, a very long time. Like to crank them up on occasion, annoys the wife.
