Y'all have seen the famous can of beanie weenies or beans and franks. It's a classic, but we're going to make our version heartier and better flavor than the can!

Everyone seems to have their own version of ‘franks and beans’ depending on what they grew up with.
My mother only ever made one casserol...BEENIE WEENIES, and she often made them for our church's "cover dish supper. They were great and NOTHING at all like this muck.
Over 10 good recipes, but I didn’t see even one can of Vienna Sausages! What do you think of that? ///
The guy does a good job of not wasting time and words, he knows how to keep the demonstration moving.
LOL...this guy is GREAT. The ending with Cletus and his pals is hilarious.
The recipe looks super, too. Thanks for posting!
Pinto beans? Chili peppers?!
Is he trying to make this into Taco Bell?
Franks and beans for people who don’t like beans?
First, if you are going to go to all that bother with all those ingredients, why start with crappy “Beenie Weenie” beans? Use B & M beans, or Friends Beans . . . something with a little molasses in it. Add a little molasses if you are reduced to use Beanie Weenie or some such.
Of course lots of bacon is ALWAYS good, and he gets that right.
Also, while I am not against smoked sausage, this is franks and beans, not sausage and beans. Of course use a good quality frankfurter that won’t shrivel to nothing.
The idea is to complement the hot dogs and beans, not overwhelm them. If you use enough hot dogs and bacon, you certainly don’t need beef stock.
You don’t have to add the ketchup when you are cooking. Let the diner add ketchup to taste.
Beans and weenies was always a crew favorite mid-rats meal on Submarines...pretty hard to mess up...
I prefer canned baked beans to pork and beans, but if I don’t have any, I’ll add brown sugar, a little ketchup, onion, green pepper and bacon to pork and beans and make my own baked beans. (or on stovetop). We usually eat Nathan’s hot dogs.
I watched his video on making cowboy coffee a few years ago, and have been brewing my coffee like that ever since.
I like Kent’s YT videos.
He at least seems more authentically western that anything on YT this side of Yellowstone ...
My recipe is Bushes Baked beans and Earl Campbell’s Hotlinks with some extra onion thrown in. And Mary B’s biscuits. OH yeah.
I like adding a bit of molasses to Grandma Brown’s baked beans. Strips of bacon??? Why not!!
Man, it was so good (without pork even).
I grew up in a poor household and beans & franks was one of my favorite meals.
Mom always made Kraft macaroni and cheese with it, and I would mix them up together.
Mmmmmm! A very happy childhood memory!
How about sharing Mom’s recipe instead of just pissing all over the one offered?
We call it hotdog casserole. Pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, diced onion, crumbled bacon, beef hotdog nickels. I always serve it with fried potatoes and sharp cheddar cheese to nibble between bites.
Everything is better with bacon.
Ahhhh...fried potatoes...will go good with my eggs this morning.
