Th “legal limit” is an arbitrary number. A very small amount of alcohol is needed to reach the “legal limit”. Many people drive with alcohol over the “legal limit” with no impairment to their driving skills. Twice the “legal limit” was the “legal limit” in a lot of states before the Federal Government forced every state to conform to a standard. Now the number is bandied about as if it had some actual meaning.
