Don’t recall Stanley toy trains. Lionel, yes.
I remember The Little Engine That Could. Shel Silverstein wrote a parody of it that ended something like:
“And all of a sudden—crash! bash! smash!
He slid back and smashed into engine hash.
And the moral is:
When the going’s steep and the track is rough
Thinking you can just ain’t enough.”
I looked it up.
The Little Blue Engine
The little blue engine looked up at the hill.
His light was weak, his whistle was shrill.
He was tired and small, and the hill was tall,
