Kentucky Election Night Reporting
“The Lousiville vote dumped in.”
That was some dump. Will there be enough in the rural areas to overcome that?
Sadly, even as I type this, there are more than enough people who would vote Republican that could get up now and make it a polling location to get in line before they close to make this a massive landslide who simply choose not to show up because they don’t consider off year elections to be important.
There can be, yes. Has happened a number of times before.
Polls still open in the western part of the state for 4 more minutes, so zero reporting from them so far.
I don’t see it on their site.
Jefferson is showing 0% on the SOS site. The only important county reporting at all so far in Boone (Cincy suburbs). It’s the most Republican of the 3 Cincy suburban counties.
If Cameron can get to 60% there it’s a damn good sign.
Right now he’s at 53%.
If Cameron gets closer to 53% in Boone than 60%, they can turn out the lights and go home. He needs at least 57% in Boone to outperform Bevin.
This will never be a surprise there is an old school south like in Kentucky that just doesn’t care for black people always been that way. Either they don’t vote or they’ll vote for the Dem
Thanks!
Cameron won the AG race before.
And now for some good news.
The first county to report 100% is tiny Elliott County.
In 2019 Beshear got 59% in Elliott.
In 2023 Beshear got only 53% there.
You can’t project anything from such a small sample — one microscopic county — but it’s not a bad start.
Notice that many people seem to be voting for the GOP except in the Governor’s race. How strange! It’s much like in 2020 where down-ballot voting was either blank or for the GOP but the majority voted DEM for President. I’m so wary of these types of vote returns.
Soccer moms think Beshear is hot.
15% in
Beshear 57.0%
Cameron 42.1%
That’s the kinda race they’ll allow but not Governor
Two other small counties are now 100% complete.
Cameron underperformed badly.
He’s toast.
I’m watching a Louisville TV station. They show Beshear up 60-40.
I dont get it..Kentucky is a red state, is Beshear doing such a great job over there that even Republicans vote for him
You do understand that Cameron is an incumbent office holder and was also not the first black to be elected statewide, right?
Women think Beshear is just dreamy.
Agreed.
Cameron is through.
More votes are coming in from places like Campbell and Kenton counties — supposed GOP bastions — and Cameron is getting destroyed in the Land of the Soccer Mommies.
There’s a chance he takes down the entire ticket with him, but it’s too early to conclude that yet. That would be a massive disaster if if happens, though.
