How would you feel if your grandmother was exiled by Moscow and was buried in Siberia? Maybe a cousin who died there as a child, too? You probably have an old family scrap book with some photos of them and think about their stolen lives from time to time. This is real life for tens of millions in sovereign nations formerly occupied by Russian colonialists.
How would you feel if the invading Russian army arrived in your Ukrainian town, tore down the Ukrainian language signs, arrested and/or killed residents?
Ukrainian feel strongly enough about their history to fight and defend their land against an invading Russian army that brings only misery and death where it goes. That’s some every Americans conservative should understand, appreciate and support.
How long ago was that? Was it during the Soviet Union days? The Ukrainians back then were also Soviets.

Should I blame Washington for what happened to my ancestors during the War Between the States. If you attempt to say it is nothing like what happened in the Ukraine, you are wrong. It is exactly the same. The Confederates formed a different Nation independent from the United States and were invaded. Give up your lost cause fool.
If you claim that the Confederates held slaves, so it was right that the CSA was invaded and defeated. Your Ukrainian Nazis persecuted the so called ethnic Russians just because they spelled words a little differently, so it was right they have been invaded and defeated.
We Americans are all the same just as the Russians and Ukrainians are all the same going back a thousand years. I am an American who just happens to be from the Southern United States. Wake up and face reality.
