Influential Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 Republican primary race last week, and former President Donald Trump wasn’t happy.
Vander Platts, who reportedly voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, responded equally fiercely on X, formerly Twitter.
In one post, Vander Plaats said Iowa “will exhibit higher standards when they choose @RonDeSantis over a Chump.”
Just returned from an Iowa stronghold for @realDonaldTrump Person to Person told me they are done with him.

The fact that this so called evangelical leader is screaming about Donald Trump tells me that the evangelical leader has done some nefarious deeds.
It would be a nice Christmas present if Gyorgy tipped over before the end of the year - but his spawn would still live...
Desantis should get far away from that guy before he gets struck by lightning.
It’s been said that money is the root of all evil, and that is no more evident than in the purveyors of Commerical Christianity who seek to enrich themselves by selling Jesus to the masses.
desantis has already paid vander plaats $95k for his endorsement....
And vander plaats says he’s all in for desantis and promoting desantis to his followers.
Such is the power of an ‘evangelical leader’ and high school accoounting teacher....
