Well, factually, any airborne object that has not been identified is...wait for it...a UFO. It’s a UFO until it has been identified. It can be a weather balloon, a satellite, an off-course airliner without a functioning transponder; many kinds of common or known craft that have not been identified at any one particular time.
I have no idea if there are “alien” craft from “way out there.” As far as I know, I’ve never seen one. I don’t know anyone who HAS seen one. I do know some very competent people who have seen something with which they were unfamiliar, but they always said they had no idea what it was, or if what they claimed to have seen was even there, and not some reflection.
It’s a fun topic, which stimulates the imagination. But it may well be that that is just what it all is: Imagination.
