I once heard that the pyramids were built by digging a big hole in the ground, filling it with blocks, and then turning the assembled blocks over to get the pyramid.
I heard this on a Swiss radio station, so make of it what you will.

Mebbe. But, the aliens, not being stupid, simply dug a canal and let the slaves float the stuff they needed.
