The Hennessey Cadillac Escalade-V Is 1,005-HP Worth Of American Excess

Cadillac is coming out with a fully electric Escalade IQ with 750 horsepower but Hennessey is already outpunching the EV with an amped-up V. Following the H650 package released at the beginning of the year, the Texas tuner is welcoming the luxobarge into the four-digit club. With the newly launched H1000 kit, the fullsize posh American SUV belts out a gargantuan 1,005 horsepower and over 880 pound-feet of torque.

With a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 682 hp and 653 lb-ft, the stock Escalade-V isn't exactly slow. But Hennessey's beefier version gets a high-flow air induction system, a custom camshaft, an upgraded exhaust, high-flow catalytic converters, and new intake valves. The H1000 kit comes with a three-year / 36,000-mile warranty.

luxobarge

People who invent "words" like that should be flogged, keelhauled, made to walk the plank, and hanged from the yardarm.

Cadillac’s logo always looked fake to me.

Anyone wants to take a chance on GM’s record of reliability over the last 20 years, be my guest. American cars are off my list until they can do something about their quality. I don’t appreciated being used by Ford and GM as a beta tester. Especially considering what cars cost these days.

How does a dog engine like Ford’s Triton or GM’s Northstar even get in production? They have to know what shyt they are selling and don’t care.

I wonder if they will sell just the motor, cause I can think of all kinds of fun cars/trucks to shoehorn it into.

James Joyce wrote an entire book with almost entirely made up words. George Orwell invented a few words too. And there is no bird called the Mockingjay.

I like when I hear my vehicles start up.. they’re loud, obvious, draw attention and I always get the thumbs up from folks... Except the wife’s Volvo which is what t is and no not an EV .

Government Motors taking what was once an elegant car and making it look like Pete’s Dragon.

All that power, but it will never see off-road, and the only thing it will ever possibly haul is someone’s boat

I was compelled to read and extensively analyze “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” in the mandatory English Literature course I could not avoid my freshman year of college. James Joyce gets no sympathy from me. NONE. AT. ALL.

George Orwell put most of his made-up words in the literary mouths of his villains.

Science Fiction is science fiction. Please learn to distinguish it from reality.

Have a nice day.

And how much does this Bad Boy cost? Article doesn’t say.

But as we all know... If you have to ask, you dan’t afford it.

I did see a regular Hennessey costs only $150,000.

Side Note.

A 1985 Suburban Silverado cost about $14,000 in 1985.

Adding in inflation is about $40,000 today.Try finding a new Suburban today for even $60,000.

Hennessey wouldn’t build it unless they already know they can sell a bunch. More than half will go to the Middle East. In either case, oil money will be paying for most of these hopped up SUVs

1000 Horsepower or not, it’s still butt ugly.
