Dec 4, 2023 1 in 10 New Yorkers struggle with hunger, and due to recent budget cuts, food pantries and other city funded nutrition programs may experience shortages.
It is going to get very scary in NYC soon.

plus the poor in the US could use some food shortages! Since the defining characteristic of the poor in the US is their obesity!

Plus struggling working-class families are seeing food pantries as a source of free food. Not always.
I've gone by churches that were having their food pantry month and saw some pretty nice SUV's in line. Some people are just greedy.

Right you are. In the old days, folks would generally pull together in a crisis.
Now everyone sees themselves as a victim. And they’re okay with getting a little revenge.
