The Las Vegas teenagers accused of beating 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis to death in an alley near their high school claimed self-defense, saying the boy threw the first punch at a court hearing Thursday.
Four of the nine teens charged with Lewis’ murder appeared before Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Nadia Woods but did not receive bail as expected, with Woods instead saying she’d issue a written order on bond for each defendant next week, local CBS affiliate station KLAS reported.
The four teens — Damien Hernandez, 17; Gianni Robinson, 17; Dontral Beaver, 16; and Treavion Randolph, 16 — appeared in handcuffs and are being tried as adults for second-degree murder after they allegedly beat and stomped on Lewis’ head on Nov. 1 outside Rancho High School.
Lewis died of his injuries a week later.
Their defense attorneys argued that the teens should not all receive the blanket $250,000 bond per defendant that the state had requested because some were more involved in the beating of Lewis than others and the dollar figure should reflect that, according to the local station.

Lying, distortion of facts, creating an alternate reality with false information, etc. are all tactics used by attorneys for their clients. They do it every day, and they do it because there are few, if any, consequences for doing so.

Mike Nifong/Duke lacrosse was over 15 years ago now and in that time I don’t recall any other DA being disbarred and jailed for obstruction of justice or malicious prosecution. Weirdo Jack Smith is doing it to Trump right now as well as Letitia James and half the country applauds them.

Nine people involved in the murder of a white kid.
This was a hate crime. Probably stalked and surrounded him.
Then they deliberately beat him to death, “although some were more involved than others”.
One defendant says he threw the first punch.
Even if this kid through the first punch it was in an attempt to escape. The should probably arrest the defendants parents for child neglect, or prosecute these people as adults.
Instead of complying with Dunham's demand to give up the truck, Mr Stevens drove away and Dunham shot him 8 times.
Despite mountains of evidence and a CONFESSION, a jury acquitted Dunham.
His attorney claimed Dunham felt threatened by Mr Stevens.

Depends on the judge and DA - in Los Angeles, under DA George Gascon, the murderers would be free, b/c “no cash bail.”
Also, their plea of self-defense would be accepted and most likely would work in all charges being dropped.
Unfortunately, video evidence doesn’t matter to lefties in the judicial system - all they see is race.
Hopefully the DA, judge and any juries in Nevada have more sense than the ones in California - George Gascon, DA of Los Angeles would have released all of them by now b/c “no cash bail” - and most likely dropped all charges against them.
These guys are racist killers. They are rightly being charged as adults on second degree murder. Prison won’t reform them but it will keep them off the streets.
