“It’s impossible to miss Pal’s Sudden Service in Tennessee and Northern Virginia.”

I have to ask: What's the name "Pal's Sudden Service" about anyway? I spend a lot of time travelling in TN between Crossville and Johnson City visiting my two sons. I see a "Pal's Sudden Service" in one of the towns I go through, think it's Elizabethton?

Never stopped there, thought the building looked odd though there's always a line of cars around the building so I was thinking the food had to be good?

I am not positive, but I think it goes back to what was probably a company slogan decades ago when the business was in its infancy. On the road from Kingsport, TN to Gate City, VA, in past years when I used to travel that area, there was what must have been one of the original Pal’s locations that had posted “Pal’s Sudden Service.” I assume it was a promotion for how quickly they got your order to you.

I will say one thing for this chain: at any time when I went into one of the stores (or looked into the kitchen from the window of my vehicle when driving through, these were the cleanest fast food joints I had ever seen. And the staff were well-trained and polite. I never encountered any “attitudes.”
