Kimberly Keagy joined the WSAZ news team as a reporter in January of 2020.
She was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Kimberly graduated from Point Park University Summa Cum Laude in 2019 earning her bachelor's degree in Broadcast Reporting and a minor in Political Science.
While in school, Kimberly interned in Washington D.C. where she worked along seasoned journalists covering Supreme Court decisions, State Department briefings, and Senate Committee meetings. She also interned at JET24 in Erie, Pennsylvania where she found her love for local news.
Outside of work, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kimberly is thrilled to begin her career in the tri-state.
Makenna Leisifer is one of the Midday producers at WSAZ and produces the 6 p.m. weekend newscasts.
Makenna started working for the station in July 2023.
She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a proud Yinzer*.
Makenna recently graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV., where she received her bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Sports Communication.
At WVU, Makenna was the producer of the public affairs show, "West Virginia Today", and the main producer for the university's newscast, "WVU News."
She is a proud Mountaineer and is so excited to call the Mountain State home.
In her free time, she loves to travel, craft, and spend time with her loved ones.
* Yinzer is a 20th-century term playing on the Pittsburghese second-person plural vernacular "yinz." The word is used among people who identify themselves with the city of Pittsburgh and its traditions.
