I don’t much care for the Florida State Criminoles, but they got screwed................
I was working at Virginia Tech when we went undefeated. Beamer told us “We have to win the last games with a statement or we won’t play for the championship”. Just winning wasn’t going to be good enough. FSU just barely got by in their last 2 games.
We’re gonna fight,fight,fight for FSU were gonna scalp em Seminoles. We’re gonna win, win, win and roll on down to make those goals. For FSU is on the warpath now and at the battles end we’re great. So fight,fight,fight for FSU, the Seminoles of Florida staaaaate! 😊
Nobody cried in 1991 when once beaten fsu got into the championship game against undefeated Nebraska despite the fact that fsu skipped over undefeated West Virginia.
I also didn’t hear too many complaints when once beaten fsu got into the national title game in 2000 ahead of the one loss miami team that beat them head to head.
I’ve never been a Seminoles fan, but I am a Mike Norvell fan. He did a GREAT job with my Memphis Tigers. He’s a great guy, and we were sorry to see him go. But he stood up and told us with dignity, and we liked him, so I’m still a fan. (As opposed to John Calipari [spit] who left town in the middle of the night for Kentucky - coward)
Having Alabama picked this year - IMO - is precisely what we all scream about when diversity comes up... Pick the best, not your friends. I’m sure it’s about TV revenue, anyway. Alabama is a bigger rating.
