Count me in that group. I nearly always prefer a transcript to having to watch a video. Having both is the best, of course, since the video has inflection and gestures and facial expressions that are lost in plaintext.
I stopped watching TV in the 70's, and instead read voraciously. My wife is the opposite -- she is a TV/video watcher and avoids reading more than a one-sentence summary of anything she can watch instead.

I tend to do most reading here believe it or not. It’s a great resource to have. Most sites are full of Ads etc. and highly annoying now.

By the way I upgraded my twitter to Premium + so I see VERY little ads there now.
Twitter/X is getting better and worth it I feel.
