Incredible video of an enormous alligator devouring a python in Florida's Everglades was filmed by a passing cyclist earlier this week.

Alison Joslyn, who is an endurance athlete and has a passion for wildlife photography, caught the shocking sight as she was out on her bike, training.

'That's one less python to terrorize the Everglades.' she wrote after posting pictures and video online after cycling through the Shark Valley area of Everglades National Park.

The alligator population has gotten ridiculous, too.

May I therefore assume that pythons are tastier than cyclists, then?

Pretty sure if you avoid the everglades and other bodies of water where they are frequently found I think she’ll be OK.

However, if seeing this is what it takes to stem the tide of refugees pouring into the state let’s post it far and wide! 😂

If folks think pythons are scary just wait until some numbskull introduces a breeding pair of Cobras into Florida.

Most of these videos are dumb. The hosting sites have dozens of popups and crap that you have to sift through to see a grainy portrait-based black and whit waste of time.

I watched a gator fight a croc down at Deering Bay a decade or so. Coolest nature thing I’ve ever seen.

We have vacationed in Florida, but never considered moving there. Our experiences with the people, weather, and fauna have been perfectly pleasant.

The cyclist was further away - plus the gator was occupied with the snake.

When I was a kid gators were afraid of people because gators were killed if they got close. Then snowbirds started coming to Florida and feeding them - and the crybaby liberals worried about the poor gators’ feelings and lives. Now there’s too many gators and they’re not afraid of us anymore. That said, if you stay out of the Everglades and don’t swim in infested lakes, you’ll be fine.

It was a live event. The golf pro took me to this little cove where the EGlades basically meets the salt water to watch them.

The gator won from what I saw (he was bigger).

I used to camp in the Everglades. I remember being out early in the morning in a canoe near Florida Bay, and there were gators everywhere - just looking at me, waiting for me to flip my canoe.

I lived in a town near the Everglades. One morning, there was an alligator in our pool. We called animal control and it got it out, drove it back to the Glades. Knew exactly what they were doing.

I\\If you live near the Glades, DO NOT let your cat out at night. Gators eat them.

Did that snake actually think it was going to EAT that gator?
