The ‘greenest’ way to charge is often going to be during the middle of the day while your EV is parked while you are at work since solar panel electricity will most likely be available.

In Europe (for a while longer) and much of Asia, one can take public transit without worrying about the Amish beating the crap out of you due to skin color. In the US, not so much.

Likewise, if EVs get mandated and replace normal cars, same thing - you will be sitting ducks for the Amish, for 30 minutes to an hour while doing nothing, and like it or not, there are plenty of Amish around.
