“She brought to the local “satellite” sheriff place in this small town (not staffed at night) and the guy there wasn’t even interested in taking it! He may have recommended getting a firearm. I certainly hope she got one or two and learned how to use. A friend of mine lives nearby to her and told me all the details.”

The people are truly their own first responder. If you are depending on police to protect you or respond in time to stop a rapist or killer, or even a burglar, then you have made a bad decision.

A few years ago, we had on camera 4 or 5 people just pulling up in a car to my late in-law’s house and taking the time to load everything they could into their vehicle. They even took our gas can we had left over there after cutting the grass. They talked of coming back with a pick-up truck to get more. From the two cameras we had one video of them stopping at the end of the long driveway and the driver getting out and covering up their license tag with a towel. They then removed the gate from its hinges and proceeded to the house.

From the second camera we picked up good pictures and their voices including the name of one of the perps. We took the video to the Sheriff’s department and made a report. We never heard a word in response. And this is from a Sheriff’s office that is staffed with supposedly good conservatives.

Anyone who is not well-armed in this day and time is foolish indeed.

Agree 100% or more. And practicing lets neighbors know that one isn’t a helpless victim. Practicing is allowed on 5 acre or more lots where I am.
