She wins the Booby prize here.
That poor child.
I feel sorry for whoever was on the other side of that wall.
Bam Bam Bam, Drop the Knife, oh never mind...
On December 21, Finlayson’s family filed a claim against the LASD demanding at least $30 million, claiming the shooting was entirely unjustified.
Unjustified, except for her holding a large knife up to the jerk she was threatening to kill...
No winners in that situation.
And yes he was a jerk.
Is she wearing cat ears?
I wonder if high velocity tasers or high velocity bean bags could be used.(if they have even invented them).
Sad, but typical s**tshow of human interactions.
She made a series of bad decisions. Very bad.
Poor choices costed her life.
Finlayson was struck by gunfire, fell to the floor, and dropped the knife,
—
At least she dropped the knife.
She opens the door and then goes back to the BF carrying a knife and saying she is going to kill him. The cops couldn't just let her have at it.
“And yes he was a jerk.”
She was holding onto him while holding a large knife. Yet she was shouting “get off of me”. And saying to first responders she was going to stab him.
How does this make him a “jerk”? If he showed up unannounced well, she let him in. And he’s the child’s father so they had at least a 10 year relationship.
Another victory for the LAPD in particular and for Law Enforcement in general: she’s safe now and the abusive boyfriend will never bother her again.

Cop Card
Well, it worked, she doesn’t need protection anymore.
I guess they solved the problem. He won’t be causing her anymore problems. /s
I should have just scrolled a little further.
Another story of violence originating from what used to be a small desert town, Lancaster. Just a couple of weeks ago a four year old was shot in a road rage incident in Lancaster, within a couple of miles of this shooting by the police of a woman in a violent situation. Grew up a few miles away when it was a safe place. Crazy.
I probably rode thru there on my motorcycle when I was stationed at 29 Palms in 1973...................
