In my 50’s I taught engineering design and technology for a few years as a way to take a break from working in industry, and to pay back my hs drafting teacher. On the last day of school, a larger student (I was 6’1” and 230 at the time) cut up to the front of the line at the classroom door and yelled in my face, get out of my fucking way you old man. then he tapped a finger into my chest. my reaction was to smile, hit the alarm button near the door, and I told the class to resume their seats. In about 60 seconds the SRO deputy and a vice principal came through the door. They asked me and the students what happened, then cuffed and hauled off the offender. It’s a felony to touch a teacher in fl. the students know it. the idiot spent his next school year in a school with fewer classmates and more deputies. wasn’t his first offense against a teacher and some other students.
She did an fantastic job of holding her own there, I must say. She had him on his back.
