“We need to fix Congress.”

That right there is the biggest problem in America and has been for decades. The rats are easy to beat, the GOPe/uniparty is the root of the problem and will continue until America collapses - and the rate we’re going it’s only going to be a few years. When Trump was president what did the ‘republican’ house and senate accomplish the first two years? The repeal of Kenyan Kare? A balanced budget and limit spending? Not a damned thing, same a-holes are running the asylum.

So far DeSantis and Haley have wasted almost $300,000,000 that could have been used to defeat Biden and Dems in swing districts. Neither one of them ever had any prayer of beating Trump and they knew it.
At this point they’re both actively aiding and abetting the enemy.

In reality, neither of the two would have had the $300 mill donated to them to begin with if they weren't there to aid and abet the enemy. So on the one hand, no patriot cash was wasted on them. But on the other hand, Trump had to fight them while also fighting Dim marxist lawfare.

I definitely believe that Trump served a great purpose in helping to awake America, and exposing the magnitude of the issues facing us. He just hasn’t been as superb at actually rectifying those issues, especially ones he was involved in like the vaccines. But as the old saying goes, you first have to identify the problem(s), before you can fix them, and we are much better off in that regard than we were before. As you say, hopefully the future will bear those ready to address the challenge, but it will take more than any one person.

Where we are right now, Donald Trump is literally the only person left standing who can save America from descending into a leftwing totalitarian society.

Is there anyone else who has a chance to reverse the madness that has gripped this country? If so, who?

Never underestimate the ability of the Democrats to find someone to carry out Arkancide when needed.

Well, it SHOULD be all of the (alleged) republicans in Congress, but at this point, they are the least likely to reverse the madness, as they are just as corrupt and leftist as the democrats.

Trump can only slow our slide to a socialist despotic hell. Congress will do little or nothing as they are too busy lining their pockets with special interest money. I fear our Constitutional Republic is too far gone to be saved. Sadly it might take a revolution akin to the French Revolution with all its excesses to set things right

National repentance and a turn towards Christ is the only way out of this mess.

“What is Repentance?” by RC Sproul is a good start, seeing how the church doesn’t teach it anymore.

Absent that, it is a wash. Enjoy the ride down.

Do any of the Republicans in Congress have a chance of being elected president in 2024? It’s going to take someone at the presidential level to turn things around.

“It’s going to take someone at the presidential level to turn things around.”

Maybe, but I think Trump’s term suggests that it takes more than the presidency. Trump had majorities in both houses of Congress for two years, yet the republican’ts actively opposed him at almost every turn, and usually helped the leftists far more than they ever even tried to represent their constituents.

There are a lot of Republicans who are MAGA types, and there are getting to be more of them. Yes, there are Establishment RINOs, but their numbers are dwindling fast.

You paint with a very broad brush as you denounce Republicans. Either you're incapable, too lazy, or dishonest to make the effort to sort out who is doing what.

If you haven't been hanging out at DU, you should start doing so. They hate Republicans in general over there too, so that's where you should feel more comfortable

Trump won’t be able to either (sorry)

Why? Not because he doesn’t want to. Not because he doesn’t have the ability.

Because the swamp will stop him at every step. Just like last time.

honestly Haley is probably sucking up open border rino bucks. Better she blows them than that money be spent promoting Rinos.

The democrat party is a weapon of destruction and Trump proved he has the knowledge to disarm them.

You have to wonder at times how many of these posts are perpetual handwringers, and how many are psyops to try and demoralize people.

The one truth is that yes, Trump can't do it alone. A tale of two states can illustrate why-- Texas and Georgia.

In Georgia, you have Kemp flying to Davos, and Raffensberger refusung any attempts to ensure election integrity. And there is a lot of circumstantial things that suggest they're dirty. The people of Georgia would best be served by getting rid of both of them, but absent that, putting in legislators who will put on the pressure to force them along.
Then there is Texas. Abbott is a bit squishy, but Paxton is strong, so much so that the Bushies and their affiliates tried to oust him.

If the states, and federal legislators, are on board, then the ship can be righted.

The last thing to do is walk away, because the scumbags will keep coming after all of us.

The backstabbing

Governor Ron DeSantis represents the best possible option to win the presidency in 2024 and to govern as a highly capable, patriotic populist leader.

I have worked as a dedicated spokesman and advocate for Donald Trump for much of the last seven years, so I do not arrive at that conclusion flippantly. But our America First movement has always been bigger and more important than any one individual, and heading into this crucial election, our activism and our votes must be guided by a clear-eyed assessment of recent failures and potential future successes.
