I still want to know exactly why CDC virologist/epidemiologist Dr. Timothy Cunningham suddenly walked out of his office and turned up weeks later in the river summer of 2018. He would normally take walks along the river and pick up rocks. There were rocks in his pockets so nothing out of the ordinary. If, as the media settled on, he’d left work due to illness (he did have an undisclosed disease - maybe why he chose his work), why was he out picking up river rocks? Sure, everyone has said they’ve been ill to get off work when they are fine.
The media ran with he was a big whiney over not getting a promotion. Except he’d just got a promotion months before. He was up for recognition with the USPHS (Navy) but resigned a couple days before and there was talk about him being upset with children’s vax in Africa. He was also a who’s who in Atlanta.
Sorry, “personal problems” (maybe bi or gay) doesn’t cut it. No ongoing personal problems would have caused him to stomp out of his office in the middle of the day and abandon his beloved dog without a word to anyone to care for him. Not when he used a vet hours away which would be an all day event just for a check up.
Supposedly, the day before, he told his neighbor to delete his phone number. Could be a number of unknown reasons.
