Meanwhile, in our area records have been falling for the last week. Sometimes by double digits. February '21 was a record breaker, the big one was Februrary of '11.

Not buying the crap, never have. After teh exposure of East Anglia a few years back only a fool would believe climate "scientists". BTW, what ever happened to all those weather stations that were positioned in non-urban and non-heat island locations. They were put up after someone noticed that many traditional urban reporting locations were surrounded by concrete and asphalt. I wonder if the natural area stations are posing numbers from an inconvenient truth?

It sounds like the position of weather stations is an issue.

I recall that when I lived in Chicago years ago, if a new record was set, the weatherman would frequently note that the official weather station was now at O’Hare, and that’s why a new official record was set because of the location of the weather station having changed.

If the official location of weather stations in many places has changed, that would account for a lot of the discrepancies we’re seeing.
