What a headline! It hit earth...above Germany?

Is Germany not part of earth? ???

They stated it hit Earth (which includes the atmosphere), and were kind enough to provide a location more specific than the whole planet: Germany.

How the heck did you get thinking they're implying Germany isn't on Earth?
