A member of the US Army with a popular fitness and fashion account on Instagram has died by suicide, devastated friends shared on Saturday.
Staff Sgt. Michelle Young, 34, took her own life, leaving behind her 12-year-old daughter, whom friends described as “her whole world” in a heart-wrenching post on GoFundMe.
“Michelle was a beautiful soul, an amazing friend, a single mother, a soldier, and is proof you never know what someone is going through or what demons they may be fighting,” friend Sarah Maine wrote on the page.
“We will never fill the gaps in our hearts and will always be left with questions,” she added.
Young had served in the Army for 16 years, first enlisting when she was about 18 years old. During that time, she completed two tours in Afghanistan, the Daily Mail reported.
Just days before news of her death broke, Young had posted a birthday message on Instagram for her daughter, Gracie.

Very sad story. The demons have become more active than ever recently, which is scary. When someone takes their life due to depression, their demons merely transfer over to the loved ones left behind, becoming even more powerful. I’m living that now.

Looks like a mental illness to me.
Zero respect for her daughter and her family. Get help for suicidal thoughts before you act. It’s not normal. She certainly wasn’t normal and also disgraced the uniform.
Military chicks can be hawt but she was a problem child I’m sure.

With depression they end up not loving themselves much less others
I suspect that in some cases, suicide runs in families. No idea if it is purely organic, or psychological, or a combination of both. A small note in her obituary noted that previously, her brother had also committed suicide.
Suicide *does* haunt some families. I knew one young man who was terrified as an adult because his aunt had done so, and he feared that he would kill himself, too.

Definitely something being left out of this account of Young’s suicide, and whoever knows what that is should set the record straight, tout suite.
Terrible. However, a go fund me shouldn’t be necessary. The Army will pay for all burial expenses and her daughter should receive nearly 500,000 dollars.

Was it not better for God to prevent it all together if HE is in charge (as it is claimed)?
If God is in charge, HE is also the cause of all misery in this world.
Go ahead and bury me with all the silly myths and arguments.
My oldest daughter had a serious boyfriend for a while that may have become more. He was a nice guy, but both of his parents killed themselves, and I was always worried if they got married and things got tough, he would off himself too. When they broke up, I was sad for her, but grateful she wouldn’t have to deal with that later on.
Mental pain can do that to a person.
I mourn for her daughter. The person that died, was entirely phony. One look at her, she was playing a part as a soldier, as a mother, and was so insecure that she “enhanced” herself like Darcey and Stacey. That is a symptom of mental illness, hating oneself for imperfections. She was born perfect in Gods eyes, now she has some “splainin’to do” to the Creator of us all.
Suicide?! what a cowards way to be remembered.
