I believe this is a the center of DeSantis’ problems. He should have kept his own counsel and waited. He was very popular and effective, and he could have continued burnishing those credentials until 2028. Fiscally, catastrophe awaits whoever is the occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in the very near future.
