Our sensors are not yet capable of detecting an earth size planet around a Sol sized Class-M star at the distance of Earth from the Sun.
At present, we can only detect planets whose orbits are close to the star and revolve in days not months. Until we can monitor a star for an entire Earth year and see the transitions as it crosses in from to its host star will we be able to say we are unique or not....................
