I’m a Florida native, so sunshine for me is a must. I’ve been in the Midwest for 35 years, and it hasn’t gotten any easier. The lack of sunshine in the Winter is a problem for me.
I am taking extra vitamin D this winter, to see if that helps my winter depression, and so far, I think it’s working. I bet I could take even more.
I pretty much HAVE to go outside every day for a walk. It keeps me sane. When the temps were in the single digits a week ago, we didn’t get our daily walk in for 8 days straight. Nearly made me bonkers. Single digits are one thing. Single digits with well below zero wind chills are another. It just isn’t fun to go outside for more than 10 minutes. Even going to the grocery store is a hassle at those temps.
Give me more sunshine, and I’ll be a good girl.
