Cameroon launched the world's first routine vaccine programme against malaria on Monday. It is one of 20 African countries planning to introduce the drug this year, according to global vaccine alliance Gavi. Here are some key facts.
THE VACCINE
The RTS,S malaria vaccine, developed by British pharmaceutical GSK (GSK.L), opens new tab and sold under the brand name Mosquirix, was backed by the World Health Organization in July 2022. It underwent trials in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi. Advertisement · Scroll to continue

Considering wonder drugs are anything that can work in 50% of people, 30% is good when taken in proper context.
Don’t we have a lot of other inexpensive drugs that fight malaria?
DDT.
DDT BTTT
“Don’t we have a lot of other inexpensive drugs that fight malaria?”
Yes we do and they are not something you want to take on a regular basis. The bubble guts is always present. Malaria is a pox on humans if someone comes up with an effective vaccine that will improve the lives of 4 billion. Having spent much time in the malarial latitudes not having to take high power antimalarial drugs with all that nasty side effects would be a blessing. Stop thinking every vaccine is some conspiracy. Those of use with WHO yellow cards who actually travel to real.hot zones.don’t want to hear boomer tinfoul stuff.
Yes, and no. Some work with some types of malaria and not with others. Each have amazing side effects. Then, after a period time, a strain of malaria in an area may become resistant to the drug of choice and a switch has to made if another is available.
FWIW, never, ever, ever take Larium - melifloquin. It has long-lasting psychotic side effects. It may work against malaria but it might kill you.
Bring back DDT and kill the source.
Being a recombinant protein vaxx, it likely uses and adjuvant and will probably require boosters.
If there’s an an adjuvant, wonder what it is?
And if boosters are required, that might make up for it being more expensive to produce than an mRNA vaxx.
Hope the pharmaceutical company isn’t screwing the public.
...A recent phase IV trial and pilot phase of the Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme (MVIP) have shown that those excesses in meningitis and cerebral malaria were not found to be associated with the RTS,S vaccination.3 However, there may be variations in the vaccine safety across SSA settings. Therefore, extensive and adequate data are needed. Pooled data of individual clinical trials and spontaneous reporting may enable the identification of serious but rare adverse events missed during the trialI...
Okaaaaay...
I won't print the rest of what I'm thinking.
Little bodies already get somewhere around 28 jabs by 15 months so lets add even more. Yes, I just counted the jabs at the CDC site and that didn't include the C19.
Wow! 28 jabs? Really? Amazing and distressing.
