Time was, people could understand that Humanity and Mankind were the same. Mankind is shortened to just Man. A Man would refer to a Male.
It’s the English language. Some words are homonyms.
You can rename yourself every 20 years or so, like black people do, but it isn’t going to change who you are. We can also just keep changing language incessantly and I think we’ll end up only being able to quote Mao and not Shakespeare.

According to Genesis, the way Satan tricked the WOMAN was to distort the language, telling her God didn’t really say what He said. Then she seduced the MAN into joining in.
If you ask me, anybody who gets hung up, or offended, and claims changing the language will fix it, especially if they demand you join in, is following Satan’s instructions.
