The Looming Showdown
Bill O'Reilly.com ^ | 2/2/2024 | Bill O'Reilly

Nine months until the nation votes for President again, and here's where I think we are.

Donald Trump's MAGA support encompasses around 35 percent of Republicans, and they will stand by their man. So, mathematically, Nikki Haley has no chance. I cannot see anything stopping a third Trump nomination.

President Biden is drowning. A one-two punch of terrible policies and early-stage dementia has put him in the deepest hole since the hapless Herbert Hoover.

The excesses of Donald Trump do bolster Biden a bit, and his party has nowhere else to go, but things will get worse this year for Mr. Biden as he struggles to even function on a daily basis.

The national media, once an important force in presidential voting, is collapsing. TV News ratings are in decline, and once mega-newspapers like The Los Angeles Times are finished.

Most Americans don't trust the press; many despise it.

Finally, I don't expect to see a Biden-Trump debate, although one would help the former President. There is absolutely no way Biden's people will take that risk.

The coming election is really a showdown between progressive leftists and traditional Americans. In 2022, the progressives hung tough. But there is far more at stake this time around.

Enjoy the weekend. New column Sunday.

Watching the zero enthusiasm in the diner this week when Biden was trying to talk it up w patrons says everything. The average American has had enough w Biden and the Democrats. Problem is, most of congress is right there with him.

And not a peep about why Biden and the Dems don’t seem to be worrying one little bit. The rigged system means they don’t have to.

Bill Oh Really, as always, will catch onto that when the counting stops again in election night and ten days later Biden is declared the winner.

even tho Bill has been banished to the darkest corners of the Interwebs, he still can't see a steal right under his nose. It's about the conservative grift for O'Reilly.

You beat me to it. Democrat fraud and media lies will have a huge impact in November. If you’re going to ignore that Mr. O’Reilly, why bother writing about the election at all?

O’Reilly is correct about the media being in decline. But they will still be a potent force in November. I expect the media to come up with some terrible lie about Trump a week or so before the election. It will be disproven, but only after the election is over.

That’s just how vile and unprincipled today’s media is. We can only hope Trump’s support is large enough to overcome all this.

” MAGA support encompasses around 35 percent of Republicans”

Sorry Bill, you’re wrong.

The NeverTrump gang is the 35%.

The rest is MAGA baby!

Vote fraud and a traitorous GOP, the elephants in the room. They may keep the voters from choosing.

All the leftists raise scurrilous charges which are then either disprove or thrown out of court. But, by the time the retractions come, the damage is done and the retractions are put on the back pages.

Just look at the utterly ridiculous E. Jean Carroll case. The damage is done. They got to get the court to convict Trump of being a sex offender and an $83 million judgement for slander reinforces it.

It’s been one of their key strategies for years. Run your opponent through the muck, repeatedly scream “He’s guilty — all of the press outlets agree!” and let the besmirched reputation lie in tatters. Do it often enough and you get a big chunk of the electorate to go along. Exhibit 1 is Donald Trump. We are NINE long years into this being used against him.

I decided to read this just in case I have been wrong to ignore Bill O’Reilly over the last 8 years: I have not been.

He WAY underestimates the MAGA/Trump component of the Republican party at 35%, and he says not one word about the Democrats cheating or their failed policies.

Despite calling 2024 a “showdown”, his focus on Biden’s dementia and Trump’s supposed “excesses” gives the impression that he is oblivious to what is at stake in 2024: An epic David and Goliath showdown between We The People and a gargantuan Unelected Administrative State.

All-in-all, a worthless analysis by O’Reilly who is well past his expiration date IMHO.
