I was working in the broadcast industry when digital television was being developed, and was part of a committee for PBS to choose a broadcast standard.
I vehemently lobbied for then, and I still think it's the right choice today, for Europe's DVB-T format over the ATSC format.
Alas, I am now out of broadcasting, and ATSC still sucks.
