I was sitting on a plane at the San Jose, CA airport waiting on the taxiway when the CME hit. I read that it was going to interfere with GPS, so figured we were going to land in Mexico City or Inner Mongolia instead of Spokane. But, nope, made it to Spokane just fine.

The whole west coast was socked in with low fog and clouds. I never saw ground until final approach. Even then, the valleys, lakes and rivers were buried in fog. This has been the foggiest winter ever.

Disrupting radio? Seems as though 10, 11(CB) and 12m have been wide open in the last few months.

In any case they have more navigation aids than GPS and following highways. Inertial computers and VOR, radar navigation, etc.
