I’m one of the minority who didn’t watch it. I was mostly here on FR. The high rating is no surprise and spectator sports events in general are the only bright spot these days for network tv. I watched a highlights package on you tube just to see how it went down. The only NFL I have actually watched at all this year. I hope those who did watch enjoyed it. I see no uptick in interest for myself in sports for the year ahead however. I doubt the Paris Olympics will make me watch even a minute or two.
I worked Sunday.
I’m not seeing much “broke” here.
61,000 attended in LV. Tickets selling for $7,500, you do the math.
Tucker’s interview got even more viewers
I don’t think they are going broke.
Look for more of this next season. Other football players will have celebrity girlfriends who will start coming to games and getting feted and gawked at up in the luxury boxes while the boys play the game down below.
Not so much football players chasing female celebrities but female celebrities chasing ball players. As most of them would love to sit up in those skyboxes and be the focus of attention and adulation from the crowds attending and the folks watching at home.
It will pretty much double the audience potential as all the women at home will now want to sit on the couch with their men, not so much to see the game but to see who is up in the luxury boxes cheering on their men on the field. And what they are wearing and what not.
Now we will have the problem of who will be serving the appetizers and keeping the kitchen clean while the games are going on?
Mahomes is on another level, and from what I've seen of him he is a good person as well.
I think in terms of percentage of the public it isn’t that unheard of.
Gee, it's a good thing Joe Biden passed up 30 minutes of free air time during the broadcast. His staff knew he couldn't handle it.
“You do the math” 😉
Love your tagline. 👍
The psyop worked
There's no football in my home, never has been, never will be and I see no reason the change that.
When the NHL playoffs come around, I'll wake up. Sadly, they're doing everything they can to convince me to leave them and witness their own destruction from afar.
The left turns everything they touch to poo.
Someone here last week had another name for the Superbowl...funny as stink but I can’t remember what it was. Anyone remember seeing a post of a play on the words super and bowl?
And... a complete waste of time avoided by MILLIONS of viewers who knew what was going to be shown. 7 grand a ticket to attend the event!! Plastic banana woke crap and a lousy game.
I didn’t miss a play & that would be mainly because I didn’t watch it. There was something better on at the time to watch rather than the boring football game....and whatever I was watching at the time may even have been a re-run. If you were financially involved in the game, you may have received a large paycheck. That would be the most I could see to it.
:-)
Paradise.
"According to CBS Sports" - zero credibility there
"watched all or part of the game" - so flipping through the channels counts as "viewing" and flipping through the channels more than once is multiple "viewers"
CBS can claim all they want but my eyes don't lie that I no longer see fans wearing NFL clothing, never see bumper stickers or car window decals, never see flags in front of houses, don't see bars with banners out front, and have seen the Superbowl betting pools at work down to one guy who runs just one pool. Up until 10-15 years ago, I'd see it everywhere.
They're selling celebrity because they have nothing else to attract fans. Taylor Swift will pimp for football but like the Kardashians and basketball, the celebrity chasers will move on. (Leave Britney alone!!!)
The NFL wasn't going broke because they went woke, they went woke in desperation to stop the decline. It's not a coincidence that the NFL got into bed with online gambling and had the Superbowl in Las Vegas of all places. It's like the end of boxing as the dominant sport in this country - all that's left at the end is fixed fights before the sport drops into nothing. Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is regularly invited onto webisodes and he hasn't fought in almost two decades - he's the last revenue raiser for a dead sport.
Wings and things. Good stuff. No beer, as we don’t drink alcohol except in a great while.
“stupor bowel”?
Close but I don’t think that’s what it was....
