The tweet is unnecessarily provocative. Miller needs to elaborate on what “private” means there. If he means Trump will federalize the National Guard, it’s not a bad idea.
And since millions of illegals have already flooded the country, at this point perhaps only the Guard can fix the problem.
But if Miller means the US military, no. That’s one Pandora’s Box that must remain closed. And if Miller means some sort of posse, again no. Posses are not meant to cross state lines on law enforcement duties.

This COULD be one of those ideas that is floated in hopes that some illegals — and let’s be real, not all of them are necessarily delighted with their tenuous existence in the United States — will self-deport, rather than face a deportation “roundup.”
