Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed he 'didn't get complete satisfaction' from his interview with Tucker Carlson as the fired Fox News host failed to challenge him.
Putin, 71, appeared on Russian state TV Wednesday, sitting down for an exchange with propagandist Pavel Zarubin.
'To be honest, I thought he would be more aggressive and ask tough questions,' the autocrat said of 54-year-old Carlson.
'And I wasn’t just ready for that, I wanted it, because it would have given me the opportunity to respond sharply in kind, which, in my opinion, would have added certain specificity to our conversation. But he chose a different tactic.'
Putin then went on to describe Carlson's passivity.
'He tried to interrupt me several times, but still, surprisingly for a Western journalist, he proved patient and listened to my lengthy replies, especially about history,' he said.
'And he didn’t give me reason to do what I was prepared for. So honestly speaking, I didn’t get complete satisfaction from that interview.'

Tucker got out of Russia alive. Good.
Invite Pooty Poot to Florida for a follow up interview. On U.S. turf.
Tucker blew it. He wasted the opportunity of a lifetime.
Border crisis? What border crisis? Sucked into the Zeeper show again.
“Used”? If Putin wasn’t challenged that was his fault. They both agreed on the script and it went as they practiced. Also, Tucker did get the personally signed poster of Putin.
Vito, you are blocking.
Rumors that Putin also gave Tucker a wristwatch taken from a dead Ukrainian soldier. Not confirmed.
And abused.
It would have been interesting to have questions about Iran, Syria, Navalny, domestic elections, domestic protests and their suppression.
Ha!
I heard he gave him Bob Kraft’s Superbowl ring.
I honestly can’t believe that anyone on here saying “Tucker blew it” or “Tucker was a lapdog” watched the entire interview.
I think you guys are used to US journalism where the interview subject is either “your guy” and you ask softball questions. Or the subject is “the enemy” and you only ask attack questions.
Tucker asked a lot of probing, challenging questions without being rude, disrespectful or antagonistic. Maybe you guys were expecting something like Jim Jordan grilling a cabinet secretary but that’s not journalism, that is kabuki theater.
I thought it was a great interview. Here is a good analysis of the interview...

I have been listening to Mark Levin and this whole Putin thing is bizarre.
According to Levin, anyone who does not want Congress giving Zelensky billions of dollars to continue the carnage and destruction of Ukraine is a Putin lover. Last night he used the term “smartly” in how to determine how much to give. He snickers at what Carlson has to say.
Most of us are aware that the Biden administration claims it is fighting for democracy and protecting Ukraine’s border. The irony is not lost on anyone that Ukraine is not a democracy and our own border is unprotected and is a gateway for invasion, in the tens of thousands, by our enemies’ military. It is a gateway for the invasion of tens of thousands of terrorists.
Ukraine will not win this war. Those who advocate giving Ukraine more money, rather than pressing for a ceasefire and negotiated settlement, have the blood of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians on their hands. The Biden administration is calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, since they know that Israel will destroy Hamas, and that is not desired by the Biden administration for whatever perverse reason. The administration refuses to call for a ceasefire in Ukraine knowing that Russia will win. I have noticed that it has been declared as unnecessarily alarmist and rude to mention that by the MSM. Acceptance of that fact undercuts the logic of continuing the war to increase the profits thereof.
He missed the big question-
Does Vlad think the KHL is on par with the NHL?
