Gold also has a relatively low melting point

Yes, that sounds like BS. “Gold has a fingerprint”.

Gold is a natural element off the periodic table. Solid gold is nothing but a collection of gold molecules. Saying “gold has a fingerprint” is like saying hydrogen or helium has a finger print. Does iron have a fingerprint? I think not.

I am sure there are trace materials that would be a signature for gold ore, but once processed into the pure metal, I can’t see how there is any “fingerprint”.

No way I turn that gold into the government. I am going to find someway to liquidate it. I may not get street value but I should be able to find someway to get at least a million out of it.
