Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
That’s pretty wild!
I can’t find any pics which aren’t Getty Images.
They must’ve monetized the search engine.
OK that was weird
I had to cheat. Couldn’t solve this one without help... it made no sense.
FZZ only had limited possibilities but it didn’t help much with the rest of it so it was plug and guess for awhile
Funny how these things get solved sometimes. I wasn’t feeling anything from the quote so I looked at the attribution, chose a letter common in four-letter first names, and the last name then popped right out.
Would have been a much longer endeavor if I’d worked from the first letter of the quote. :)
Mmm. Cookies. It sort of makes sense. Maybe his mom baked a lot when it was too nasty out of doors to enjoy the out of doors.
I should have stuck with my first guess on word seven. This one was almost impossible, but it makes perfect sense, considering the author.
This one came together quite easily for me. It’s the ones everyone else thinks are easy that stump me.
I’m glad I don’t live where this guy grew up.
I’m sorry but that just sounds like nonsense to me.

Funny. I took a stab at the author’s first name, which gave me the last name, more or less, and picked my way through it after that. I live not far the author’s hometown, which was also the hometown of Lenard Bernstein, strangely enough.
I did it the same way, although my first stab was the more formal form of the first name. Picking at the quote got me nowhere.
