I’ll believe they care about kids when they stop rationalizing aborting them.
I thought getting rid of gas stoves would cure asthma.

We are so etching like 87% cleaner air quality than we were back in the day, and it has cost us a lot of money in terms of businesses and vehicles and such being c9mpliant with the clean air act. The remaining 13% is not an issue, and I suspect the “kids having asthma attacks” is based “net zero” goal of the envirowackos who is to destroy the nation even further for a very small gain in further air quality.
We are one of the cleanest industrialized nations on earth, and the products we produce are SAVING LIVES the world over, but the envirowackos want to stop that by creating such stringent air quality control regulations that businesses can no longer afford to produce life saving devices because they have had to raise their prices so much that folks can’t afford them any longer
What little air pollution we do have is cranking out life saving devices every minute of every day, doing far far more good for h7manity than reducing the remaining 13% or so of air pollution!
Good detective work- thanks for exposing that fact. And yep, “net zero” is a huge lie, and everyone knows it, but they are trying to force everyone by strongarm tactics, (ie mandates and fines and regulaitons and fee) to accept it
Another bogus news. Asthma is caused by allergies.
And clean air is full of natural allergens (molds, bacteria, pollen, etc.).
Dirty air king of kills a lot of natural allergens, and/or people get used to the particles.
I know. I am allergic to clean air. The more polluted the air, the better I feel!
And, lack of exposure to pollutant causes massive reactions when the person is finally exposed.
So either you must live a whole life in a cocoon, or you better be exposed ASAP!

Exactly right. It’s a classic case of diminishing returns.
You can spend $X to remove the first 90% pollution.
Then you can spend $10X to remove half of remaining pollution.
Then you can spend $100X to remove 10% of remaining pollution.
It becomes exponentially more expensive to remove the next increment of pollution.
This, of course, is precisely their strategy. They want to make conventional plans so expensive that companies will abandon them and the greeniacs can then crow about “SEE? Market forces make fossil plants unaffordable!” while ignoring it was government interference that did it.
Nobody ever discusses the big picture — how much pollution removal do we want to pay for? What amount of residual pollution can we live with? Where’s the balance between what we can afford to do and the remaining pollution?
Instead, the greeniac commies have convinced the uneducated, technically illiterate populace that we power the country with wind and solar and do it more cheaply than fossil and nuclear. What the sheeple don’t know is this is national economic suicide.
It’s the biggest con in the history of mankind.

They aren’t happy that nearly 90% was cleaned up already- they piss and moan and complain till they get results, then piss moan and complain some more- you can bet that even if we cleaned 100% of the air, they wouod,complain about something else- there is no appeasing them... ever

Yup. Back in the 90s, Ct closed six coal fired power plants dubbed the Sooty Six. One of the main arguments was that the plants caused childhood asthma. At that time, I challenged the greenies to prove that asthma rates have dropped after the electric rates went up 100%. Crickets. It was bull then and it is bull now.
